Proposal Guidelines

Euruko 2026 will be a single-track conference. We are looking for talks that are 30–40 minutes long, followed by a short Q&A session. We also plan to host workshops on the second day. There will be multiple workshop rooms, and workshops should be 2 hours long.

We are open to a wide range of topics, including:

Ruby internals and performance
Database performance and scaling
Emerging topics: new Ruby features, concurrency, ZJIT
Rails: architecture, new and emerging features
Niche web frameworks and technologies (outside of Rails)
Debugging, profiling, and reliability
Real-world experience, post-mortems, and lessons learned
Ruby in unusual places: embedded systems, CLI, mobile, and desktop apps
Recreational and creative programming

Non-technical talks are also welcome, as long as they are related to Ruby in some way or are useful to an audience of Rubyists.

Selection Criteria

We are aiming to host 10 talks:

2 keynotes and 2 invited talks selected by the organizers
6 talks selected by the program committee

The program committee is a panel of approximately 20 people assembled by the organizers. It includes members of the local Ruby community, organizers of Ruby meetups and conferences (including previous Euruko conferences), and other community members.

Proposals will be evaluated in a two-stage process. The first stage is anonymized, meaning that reviewers cannot see speaker details.

Talk selections will be made approximately two weeks after the CFP closes. All submitters will be informed of their proposal status as soon as possible after the CFP closes.
